Supplies for Your FBA Business

Scan Power – Click on this link. When the page opens, click on the “Try FBA Power” button in the upper right-hand corner of that page. FBA Power is the tool I use to quickly and strategically list my items and ship them to Amazon. Unlike other listing programs out there, FBA Power is focused solely on FBA sellers and includes information about other sellers, not just merchant and Amazon prices. It comes with “WebScout” which lets me do online scouting. I not only get great data about the other sellers, I can see how many units they have in inventory.

FBA Scout – You can sign up for Scan Power FBA Scout at the Scan Power link up above for a bundled price. This link will take you to the FREE iPhone App.  You can find it FREE for Android HERE.  Scan Power FBA Scout is by far the best scouting tool out there (I tried others) I found. It gives you real-time data from Amazon including information on the other FBA sellers and how much you will net on the item after Amazon’s fees are taken  out. This is what I call an unfair competitive advantage. It will pay for itself with your first shopping trip. You can download Scan Power FBA Scout to your smartphone (iPhone or an Android phone) and get  250 free scans before you have to register. In addition to reading barcodes from a bluetooth scanner, FBA Scout can read barcodes from your phone’s camera and you can speak them into the phone.  These methods are slower than the scanner, but they are great if you are out and about without your scanner and want to know if you are looking at a good deal or not.

Scanfob 2002 – Save $137.29 on your Bluetooth scanner for FBA Scout! Normally $419.90 (Scanfob scanner with SerialMagic software), you can get them for $282.61! Here’s how:
1. Click: Serialio Scanfob™ 2002 PLUS SerialMagic – Special Coupon.
2. Buy as normal. During the check-out process, you will see the box for coupons. Cut and paste this code into the box: FBAPOW~BundSM-586a22cd7b.
3. At that point, your discount will be applied and you’ll see the price change. Your cost – not including shipping and tax (for California residents only) is $282.61.

UK-based customers can follow the directions above to get your Scanfob and discount as well. You will pay more in shipping, of course.

Uline – I buy boxes, tape, packing paper and “Un-Du” sticker removal solvent from Uline.  They usually have specials on boxes and tape

Bubblewrap – Fast Pack celebrates Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day (yes, it’s a real holiday) on the last Monday of January every year with big sales.

HI Janice,

If you click on the FBA Power icon or link on this page. It will take you to FBA Power’s page. If you look at the upper right-hand side of that page, there is a place to sign in.

Cheers,
Cynthia

I find the best place to get shipping supplies is my local Wal Mart. They carry boxes for .45 – 1.89, packing tape, etc. I find the 16 X 16 X 15″ box fits most of my items (I sell toys, baby products, laptop cases, etc) and is only .88.

I do get my labels, Un-Do and purchased the scale, etc on Amazon. I am a Prime member so it is all shipped for free.

Margarita,

The “bundle” that I refer to is the ebook with Chris Green’s book and other links/discounts. I will be making a video course in the future when/if I have more time. End of the school year is a busy time! :)

Thanks for the great blog! I’m excited to give this a try.

I read where someone mentioned the scanfob2002 kept losing the connection and ended being more trouble than it was worth. Have they ironed out these bumps, or are there others like you who don’t have any problems? I’m nervously about spending so much on a tool that might end up on the shelf like this person mentioned.

I have an android phone and it sounded like that might have been an issue too.

Mary,

I’ve not had any major problems with the Scanfob 2002 and love it. Every now and again, I do lose connection, but it is very easy to reconnect with one touch of the screen. Bluetooth devices in general can be disrupted by other electromagnetic “noise.” My overall experience has been very good or else I wouldn’t recommend the product.

If you ever experience loss of signal, simply go to your “SerialMagicGears” application. Press the small black button on your Scanfob until the blue light is flashing. Click on “Connect” in “SerialMagicGears.” That’s it. It should reconnect and you’re back in business. A couple of times the problem hasn’t been my Scanfob, but my phone got wonky (a technical term for “I don’t know what the hell the problem is”). I turned off the phone, turned it back on and reconnected. Smartphones are like your PC. When in doubt, reboot.

I hope this helps! Good luck in your new business!

Cheers,
Cynthia

What kind of boxes do you get from uline? They have a whole bunch to choose from. Thank you :-)

Brian,

I go for what is on sale – look for their special prices on boxes of different sizes. Generally I get book boxes at 18X12X12 and what I call “toy boxes” at 22X22X22 (or close to it – whatever is on sale). Last year I bought a bunch of appliances and ended up buying a specialty size to fit the boxes. I’m lucky where I live that I can drive to Uline to pick up my boxes and save on shipping costs. Good luck to you!

Cheers,
Cynthia

Can’t print labels properly for my books, dvd’s etc. Very frustrating. I go into Print Labels for Individual Products and try to print the 30 up labels but only a few are lined up. I have the Dymo 450 but don’t know how to print labels on it from . I do not have FBA power or anything. There has to be a simpler way. Thanks.

Actually, we just figured out what we were doing wrong with the 30 up labels. Now I have to figure out how to get the products out of Amazon-Fulfilled Inventory page into the Manage FBA Shipments.

Hi Cynthia! I was just wondering what size Dymo labels you use to label your items. From what I read on Amazon, they can’t be larger than 3 inches. I tried some that measure 1 inch x 2 1/8 inch with ScanPower, but the barcodes print too thick so that they are not scannable. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sherry,

I generally use standard address label sizes which are 1″X3″ and they work fine.
