Kabbage offers advances to established online sellers to help them grow faster. You need at least six months of history selling online on Amazon.com, eBay, Etsy or another site, but it is a good alternative to credit cards as they base your advance on your sales performance. There’s no long form to fill out, no collateral pledged. I wrote a blog post about Kabbage HERE if you want to know more about it.

I just purchased a Scanfob. Do I still need a USB scanner to scan things I already have, or can I use my Scanfob to scan everything, not just when I am out shopping? I seem to be having some issues getting everything to “talk” to everything else. Thanks.

Thanks for your great advice and recent blog posts. All have been extremely helpful!

Cheryl,

Good question! If your computer/laptop is bluetooth compatible, then you can use your Scanfob to enter barcodes into FBA Power and no other scanner is required. When I started in the business, FBA Scout hadn’t been launched yet so I had a hand-held for my computer. If you have having trouble setting up FBAPower or FBA Scout, contact them at: info@fbapower or at this number from 9-5 (EST) M-F: 1-855-322-7693. They will help you. The Scanfob guys also provide really good customer support: (805) 964 8883 or send an email from here: https://serialio.com//store/contact_us.php. In addition, you may find answers to your questions already answered at the FBA Forum.

I have a bluetooth enabled PDA and SDIO Socket scanner that I use for books and toys. Do you know if there is any way to hook an Android phone up with the Socket on the PDA via the bluetooth connection on both and scan from the Socket into the phone?

If this is not possible, I know you support the ScanFob. I have heard good things about the Motorola CS 3070. Do you have and info about how the Motorola and ScanFob compare?
Thanks for your comments and help. I have successfully been selling books for three years, but am just getting started with toys and other items.

Jamie,

I’m afraid I don’t have very many answers for you. Have you checked with the Scan Power guys? They probably know what other devices work with their product: support@scanpower.com. I have one of the very first ScanFobs and need to upgrade soon (there’s an issue with the new android software and the old firmware that is annoying). If you find out about the Motorola vs. Scan Fob issue, I’d be very interested to know more and would share with other sellers.

Cheers,
Cynthia

Question for you… have you looked into Proven Amazon Course… I realize it is competition for you but I would like some candid feedback from you on it… Jeff

Jeff,

My perception of the Proven Amazon Course is that it consists of advice and inspiring insights from Amazon FBA sales leaders.

Chris Green is a mentor of mine and I think he’s absolutely brilliant. I follow Jim Cockrum, Kat Simpson is a friend of mine and I adore Skip McGrath (and recommend his products). I’m confident the content of the course is good. These guys are the real deal and walk the walk every day.

I’ve had customers who have taken that course and bought my book and what they told me was that they got inspired by the PAC teachers and then wanted step-by-step help to actually get started and get that first box off to Amazon which is why they bought my book.

Having not taken the class, I don’t know for myself if that is true or not. Your best bet would be to ask people who’ve taken the course what they think. I bet you can find some folks on Kat’s facebook group or Bob Willey’s Yahoo group who can give you the straight scoop.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Cynthia

Thanks a ton… I spent $200 on sourcing today… A little stressed about these first steps… :) To me having some help may be worth the $$$.

Downloaded Scanpower today as well… I use an Iphone but for some reason I cannot figure out how to enter the price I paid for the product.

Jeff,

I don’t use an iPhone, but the following Scan Power video may answer your question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNizxT6a9sQ In addition, you can reach the Scan Power guys at: support@scanpower.com. They are good about getting back to folks.

Cheers,
Cynthia
